The bride and groom chose the Grand Hotel des Iles Borromee as the location to celebrate their wedding on Lake Maggiore, a majestic Art Nouveau building in Stresa overlooking the Borromean Islands. The Grand Hotel has a history dating back to 1863, when it was inaugurated in the presence of an aristocratic crowd. Over the years, it has hosted celebrities such as Ernest Hemingway and Queen Margherita of Savoy.
The ceremony took place in the parish church of San Martino Lesa, adorned with frescoes, sculptures, and valuable paintings.
The theme of the wedding was “The Beauty and the Beast,” and the predominant colours were red and gold, reminiscent of the enchanted rose and the Beast’s castle. The dining room decor was elegant and refined, featuring gilded candelabras and centrepieces topped with red and white roses. The Grand Hotel’s hallway of mirrors enhanced the beauty of the bride and her dress, a stunning tulle gown with an embroidered bodice and wide skirt.
The day unfolded amidst the joy of the smiling wedding guests, gestures of affection and lively dancing.
The wedding was a dream come true, a modern fairytale that celebrated the love between two people.
